Originated from a region called “Nyitra County” (now located in Slovakia) is a Central European dance form known as Kortanc. This “folk” dance is said to have originated from Hungary. Furthermore, this dance is performed in a group around a circle. In addition, it is also performed to a 4/4 time signature.
